تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى التعرف على أثر تطبيق المعايير البيئة على القدرة التنافسية وتکاليف وأسعار المنتجات لقطاع الصناعات الکيماوية وأثر ذلک على ربحية وسعر السهم للشرکات التي تنتمي لهذا القطاع. وفي سبيل تحقيق هذا الهدف تم عمل دراسة ميدانية باستخدام عينة مکونة من 22 شرکة قامت بالتسجيل في نظام REACH. أظهرت نتائج الدراسة أن تطبيق المعايير البيئية يؤدي إلي زيادة التکاليف، مما أدي إلى ارتفاع مستوي أسعار بعض المنتجات لتعويض هذه التکاليف، وإن کان ذلک لم يؤثر نسبياً على ربحية السهم لهذه الشرکات، وفي المقابل أدي ذلک إلى زيادة القدرة التنافسية التصديرية للشرکات، وإلى ارتفاع أسعار أسهم هذه الشرکات.

This study aims to identify the impact of Implementing Environmental standards on competitiveness, costs and prices of products for the chemical industry sector and its impact on the profitability of the stock price of the companies that belong to this sector. In order to achieve this goal it was worked on a field study using a sample of 22 firms applied REACH. Findings of the study showed that the Implementing of environmental standards increased costs, which led to the high level of prices of some products to offset these costs, nevertheless, this did not relatively affect on earnings per share of these firms, and in return has led to increase export competitiveness of firms, and to higher prices Shares of these companies.
